How long in advance do I need to register for the training course?

For the in-class course, 24 hours hours in advance so we can get the printed material ready.
For the online course, 5 hours in advance so we can send you the downloads.

What happens after I register?

In essence after you sign up, we will be sending you an email with more details on what’s needed before the class (ex. List of possible domains for your site, reading material in preparation for the class, etc). We'll also contact you for more information on your site requirements, reasons for learning Joomla, your expectations and when is a convenient time for you.

What's the level of technical experience needed for this Joomla training?

Minimal. As long as you know how to use your keyboard, you are all set!

What are the goals for the class?

The main goals for the class are for you to have:

Clear knowledge on working with Joomla
The know-how and tools you need for working online and offline
Your site installed and live once the course is done!!

How long is the course?

12 hours in total, distributed within 4 days, 3 hours per day (and a few hours of homework as well)

Also you mentioned Free Domain & Hosting for a year. What is the cost for each after a year?

$24 per year for the domain for the second year and $9.95/month for the hosting for the second year. You can always switch domain and hosting if you like after the free year is done.

Do I need to bring a laptop to the in-class course?

This is highly recommended so we can set up a few things for you including a local server for setting the site and testing stuff, FTP client for uploading content, E-mail set up (if you have outlook, windows mail, etc). Wireless capability on the laptop is not required but it would really be an asset.

Will we be installing Joomla on our own website? Or will it already be done for us.
